Blog Tour and ARC Review: Rock Redemption by Nalini Singh

Kit Devigny could have loved rock guitarist Noah St. John. Their friendshipburned with the promise of intense passion and searing tenderness...until the night Noah deliberately shattered her heart.

Noah knows he destroyed something precious the night he chose to betray Kit, but he’d rather she hate him than learn his darkest secret. All he has left is his music. It’s his saving grace, but it doesn’t silence the voices that keep him up at night. Chasing oblivion through endless one night stands, he earns a few hours’ sleep and his bad boy reputation.

When a media error sees Noah and Kit dubbed the new “it” couple, Kit discovers her chance at the role of a lifetime hinges on riding the media wave. Wanting—needing—to give Kit this, even if he can’t give her everything, Noah agrees to play the adoring boyfriend. Only the illusion is suddenly too real, too painful, too beautiful...and it may be too late for the redemption of Noah St. John.
We are fans of Nalini Singh around these parts, having gotten hooked first on her Guild Hunter series and them some of us devouring and adoring her Psy-Changeling series. So when I saw that she was starting a contemporary romance series about the members of a rock band I was all over that.

I told you about the first installment of the series, Rock Addictionhere. Since then, I've read every book and the novella in the series, and loved each more than the last.

The latest installment in the series, Rock Redemption, hits shelves and e-readers today, and we are excited to be a stop on the release day blog tour!

Come with me through the jump and I'll tell about the latest installment in the Rock Kiss series. Spoiler free. Be sure to read to the end and enter the blog tour giveaway!

This was my favorite of the Rock Kiss books so far. I usually have very little patience with self-loathing in my heroes, but Noah's was understandable once its root was finally revealed. While his refusal to face his feelings about Kit were frustrating as hell, I grew to love him because of everything else.  I've seen lots of comments about this one (before anyone had even read the book!) complaining about the Noah/Kit pairing, but I love a good redemption story, and Noah absolutely redeems himself.

Kit is also a great character and her strength and insistence on equality and respect in their relationship was great. There is nothing I can relate to with Kit, but she was such a great character that I was captivated by her, even if I didn't get her. And I loved the way she handled Noah, refusing to let him close enough to hurt her again, then staying by his side, helping him heal, tearing down his walls brick-by-brick. Who would have thought the shiny polished movie star would be so badass?

I really love the way Nalini Singh plays with the timelines in this series. Some of the books overlap, and there are sizable breaks between some, making this a series that can be picked up in any book.

Overall I really enjoy this series, I love the diversity in the cast, and the rock-and-roll/Hollywood world is completely unbelievable to me, making this a wonderful series in which to escape. I'm looking forward to Abe's story next!
