Valentine's Day Man Candy

Happy Valentine's Day. I've checked with the Wenches. Lusted, poured over hours of photos and come up with our top picks of men to drool over ranging across the generations. Some Wenches, when submitting their lists of men to include, submitted to me a novel to wade through. I was impressed with both their dedication to their task and the quality of their lists. I think we have quite an eclectic group to present to you for your Valentine's Day enjoyment. Let the panty wetting begin after the jump.

Apologies in advance. Yes, I do have a "thing" for black and white photos. I don't know why. I just find them sexier.

The Roaring Twenties

Zac Efron

Is it the cheeky grin, the hot abs, or his acting ability? We just love Zac Efron. His piercing blue eyes see right through us.
Liam Hemsworth

Liam deserves to be our Valentine because he's ridiculously handsome and talented as well, plus, now that he's finally broken off his relationship with Miley Cyrus, we can show him what real women are like. Anne you know how to make him sound sizzling.

Alex Pettyfer

Alex knows he's the total package; from doing the movie I am Number 4, to trying to hide his looks in Beastly, to baring it all for Magic Mike. Now, those are not the three best movies in the world; but he sure makes watching them so much hotter! My research has helped me appreciate him, Wench Natalie.

Garrett Hedlund

Sigh, you just get sexier as you get older Garrett. I go weak in the knees for a guy with brow furrows. I don't know why. Let me gaze at your perfection.

The Dirty Thirties

Ryan Gosling

What, smoking isn't politically correct?? But darn it, it is still incredibly sexy in a photo.

Jensen Ackles

We knew you shared our sense of humour Jensen. Oh, you want me to stop tickling you? Ummm... No.

Chris Hemsworth

Oh, Chris, let me give you a hand.

Alexander Skarsgard

One love united us. It's only appropriate that Alexander grace this list. He's tall, he plays a vampire (as you know it's a favourite genre for us) and he is lovely, delicious to look at.

The Naughty Forties

Keanu Reeves

It will ever be The Matrix which shot Keanu up my notice board. Action packed and that black coat and those glasses. *Slips off her chair into a puddle on the floor.*

Jeremy Renner

Sigh. He's hot, he looks great in leather and he does serious and cheeky so naturally. I may have wept the odd time he's been on the screen.

Paul Rudd

We love Paul Rudd because he is completely adorkable. How could we not? Plus he's good-looking, funny... May have once mentioned New Zealand in a promo for Anchorman 2.

Gerard Butler

It's the accent. What is it about the Scottish accent that is so sexy??? It helps that Gerry has smouldering good looks to go with the accent as well.

Daniel Craig

The perfection and magnificence of Mr. Craig can not be underestimated. I could have objectified Daniel from his beach walk in Casino Royale, but the he is attractive whether he is clothed or not.

The Nifty Fifties

Johnny Depp

Johnny, I loved you in 21 Jump Street and I still love you today. Yes, I did used to fantasise that I was on the show.

Brad Pitt

Is it possible to just get better with age? I think it is. We may have had to wipe the drool off our laptops and computer monitors when he's graced our screens and it doesn't look like that is going to stop anytime soon.

Viggo Mortensen

This Wench had never heard of Viggo Mortensen until the Lord of the Rings movies came out and boy, did Viggo make me sit up and take notice. It wasn't just his acting ability either.

Bruce Willis

We loved you in the Die Hard movies, but the role of David Addison in Moonlighting forever cemented you in many of our hearts.

The Sexy Sixties

Pierce Bronson

I think we have are in love with characters who have played James Bond. What does that say about us? That secretly we wish we lived life on the edge? Or do we want to be one of James Bond's conquests?

Jeff Bridges

We want to run our fingers through your hair. When has Jeff not had great hair? The answer is never!! He also has that raspy kind of voice which is incredibly sexy.

Robert Plant

"The “golden god” of rock strutted and swaggered his way into my teenaged heart, belting out bold tales of Middle Earth (!) in his unique banshee wail. He absolutely radiated charisma…and still does, though it has mellowed into a mature and abiding allure. His playful nature, ceaseless passion for musical exploration, old-world gallantry, and deeply rooted reverence for femininity and fantasy have made him sexier and more irresistible with every passing decade." - I adore this fangirl moment from Kathi.

Jeremy Irons

Your voice sends shivers down our spines. It's husky, sizzling and kind of creepy. We love it. Wench Zee summed it up with saying that Jeremy Irons, just has so much presence and magnetism that it makes him so attractive.

The Heavenly Seventies

Morgan Freeman

What can we say, about Morgan, except we adore him. He has been on our screens for over fifty years and we can't get enough of him.

Robert Redford

I love you Robert Redford. I'm an 80's child, so my first real glimpse at you was in Legal Eagles with Debra Winger. I can't tell you how many times I've watched that movie. Of course when I saw you and Paul Newman in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid I was a goner.

Harrison Ford

Forever Indiana Jones for me. Who didn't want to be rescued by Dr. Jones and to hear his whip crack??

The Crazy Eighties

Sean Connery

Yes, our love of people that have played James Bond continue. Personally it's that Scottish accent that makes me tingly.

Clint Eastwood

Who doesn't like a man in uniform?

Michael Caine

Beta this one is just for you. Swoon away. I hope you like men with guns.

Christopher Plummer

To quote Zee, "Come on! Captain Von Trapp!"

Thank you to all the wonderful Wenches for their contributions, ideas and it was a tough job trying to keep the list so small. Hardest category to whittle down to 4 was the Naughty Forties, we had way too many choices. Enjoy!!!

And yes we do have a "thing for action heroes". I blame the 80s.

Let me know dear readers, do you have a man that makes your drool in every category? Let us know.

Am I the only one who's thinking 'Kisten' when looking at Alex Pettyfer?

  5. Sigh, Garrett Hedlund. Have still never read the end of the Eragon books in case my beloved Murtagh dies. And aww, Alex would be a good Kist, but I always imagined Luke Mitchell - even more so now he's in The Tomorrow People.
